Thursday (3 April 1919)

Yesterday we went out to “Ippi”, having a glorious walk through the lanes, lined with primroses, celandines, and other spring flowers.

Next morning, a glorious one, we made off to the “model village” of Cockington, a very charming spick and span little hamlet.
